Oxygen
Providing a patient with oxygen can be life saving and in some instances like dive boats, having access to oxygen equipment is mandatory. [In order for staff to provide oxygen treatment they must be competent in HLTAID015 Provide Advanced Resuscitation.]

Oxygen Regulators
While there are many styles of Oxygen regulators available, our preference is a heavy brass regulator with one therapy nipple and 2 high pressure outlets. These two high pressure outlets allow you the flexibility of running a demand valve from one and a vacuum flask from the other while still being able to run a therapy mask or bag valve mask from the variable flow nipple.

Bag Valve Masks
Three main sizes are available Infant, Junior/Teen and Adult. These bag valve masks attach to the variable flow nipple on the Oxygen regulator and allow the first aid provider to manually ventilate a patient

Life Threatening Bleeds
Life threatening bleeding takes precedence over airways and spinal injuries. The law in Queensland (First Aid Code of Practice) now says that all businesses must have adequate equipment to cover life threatening bleeds and amputations. We can supply the following specialised equipment.

A Finger Tip Pulse Oximeter
A pulse oximeter is a device intended for the non-invasive measurement of arterial blood oxygen saturation and pulse rate. This unit is placed over the patients finger like a loose fitting clothes peg, it will give you a percentage of oxygen in the blood and the Pulse of the Patient. [See our vital signs section of our ‘First Aid treatment form’ for more info]
